Constitutional Court opens doors to students for institutional engagement

TIRANA, May 19 – The Constitutional Court marks its 34th anniversary of activity with the “Open Days” initiative on 18–19 May. It welcomes students from public and private universities.

Meanwhile, students gain direct insight into the institutional life of the court and its role and function. On the first day, law students from the University of Tirana, as well as the universities “Luarasi” and “Epoka”, meet judges Sonila Bejtja and Marjana Semini. The judges explain the court’s role in protecting the Constitution and the rule of law and respond to questions on decision-making and institutional organisation.

The Constitutional Court says the “Open Days” aim to increase young people’s interest in constitutional justice and strengthen transparency and institutional communication.

In addition, the activity is expected to become a continuous practice. It will create further opportunities for direct dialogue with the Constitutional Court. “Dialogue with the Constitutional Judge” serves as a new communication channel that brings the court closer to citizens.
