TIRANA, May 26 – Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha held talks in Vilnius with Remigijus Motuzas, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Lithuanian Parliament. The meeting focused on inter-parliamentary cooperation and support for Albania’s EU integration process.
Meanwhile, Hoxha highlighted the role of parliamentary diplomacy and expanded inter-parliamentary cooperation as key tools for advancing shared objectives. He referred in particular to Albania’s path towards EU membership and thanked Lithuania for its continued support, according to a post on X.
In addition, Hoxha said Albania and Lithuania remain united in strengthening NATO cohesion. He also stressed the importance of safeguarding Euro-Atlantic security and democratic values.
At the same time, Hoxha described Russia’s ongoing aggression against Ukraine as the biggest threat to Europe’s security architecture. He said unity, solidarity and close cooperation among allies are essential for maintaining peace and stability in the continent.
