Himara Opens 2026 Tourist Season with Three Days of Festivities

Himara has officially opened its 2026 summer tourist season with a three-day program of cultural, sports, and entertainment events.

The municipality organized the activities on May 1, 2, and 3 across key coastal areas of the city.

The program included concerts, fairs, children’s events, outdoor cinema, light festivals, and water sports such as kayaking and diving.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared moments from the opening on social media. He described the event as “three days full of life, energy, and celebration.”

Himara remains one of Albania’s most popular coastal destinations. It attracts visitors with beaches such as Livadhi, Spile, Potami, Llamani, and Filikuri.

It also offers a mix of sea tourism, nature, culture, and local tradition.

Authorities aim to expand tourism beyond the traditional summer season. They seek to position Himara as a year-round destination.
