Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha thanked U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio for honoring Mother Teresa. He praised her as a saint of Albanian origin who left a strong legacy of compassion, humility and service to humanity.
In a social media post, Hoxha said Mother Teresa’s life and deep Catholic faith remain a living example of dedication to those in need. He said her spirit continues to inspire millions worldwide.
He highlighted her message of love, sacrifice and solidarity with the poor and vulnerable. Hoxha also quoted her famous words: “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.”
Secretary Rubio also recalled Mother Teresa during a visit to the Missionaries of Charity, where he paid tribute to her legacy.
Mother Teresa remains one of the most recognized Albanian figures in the world.
