Ibrahimaj: New Program to Prepare Businesses for EU Single Market

Economy and Innovation Minister Delina Ibrahimaj attended the presentation of a report on Albanian businesses’ readiness for the EU single market. She called it the starting point for a new support program for the private sector.

The program will guide businesses over the next four years. It will help them meet European standards, compete, and fulfill market requirements.

“Issues include lack of information on standards, need for certifications, limited export capacity, and weak structured support for businesses,” Ibrahimaj said.

She emphasized government support will focus on EU compliance, export growth, internationalization, skills, technology, and financing.

Ibrahimaj noted this is the start of a long-term effort. Close cooperation with businesses will turn integration into concrete economic growth.
