State Police Director General Skender Hita on Monday wished all students well on the start of the new school year. Hita stressed that the State Police will work to ensure that students’ journey is safe. He emphasized that when it comes to children’s safety, there will be no compromise and no let-up.

Every new school year brings a special kind of energy. Schoolyards once again fill with children and young people, with the excitement of meeting one another, with expectations and new dreams, while for parents, the focus is on their children’s safety and academic performance.
Today, students begin another journey towards knowledge, while for us, the State Police, an even greater responsibility begins: to ensure that this journey is safe, because when it comes to your safety, we make no compromises and never stop working.
If something concerns you, speak up, because your voice matters greatly to us. May we have a good start, and I wish you a successful and safe school year,” Hita said.
