PM Rama on official visit to South Korea

TIRANA, May 18 – Prime Minister Edi Rama is on an official visit to the Republic of Korea from 17–21 May. He is accompanied by his wife Linda Rama and the official delegation.

According to the Media and Information Agency, the visit aims to deepen cooperation between the two countries. It also seeks to expand partnership in areas of mutual interest, including development, technology and innovation.

Rama is scheduled to attend a welcome dinner hosted by the Asian Leadership Centre and the Harvard Club of Korea. The organisations promote leadership, education and international cooperation in Asia.

Representatives of Korean politics, government and business are set to attend the event. Rama is also scheduled to hold meetings with Republic of Korea Prime Minister Kim Minseok and Samsung CEO Lee Jae-yong.

At the opening ceremony of the Asian Leadership Conference, Rama will deliver a keynote address alongside international figures, including Korean Prime Minister Kim Minseok.

Later, he will take part in a panel titled “Conversation with a Leader: An Era of Great Transformation – The Grand Strategy of a Small Nation”. He will address global challenges from the Western Balkans perspective. He will also discuss strategies of small states in geopolitical change and highlight artificial intelligence and digital innovation in governance.

The agenda also includes meetings with leaders of major Korean companies. Discussions will focus on economic cooperation and investment opportunities in Albania.

Rama will also take part in an exclusive dialogue with leaders from the Asia-Pacific region (APAC).
