Rama: Tokyo Welcome Shows Respect for Albania

Prime Minister Edi Rama concluded his official visit to Japan.

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi welcomed Rama with a state ceremony in Tokyo.

Rama shared moments from the visit on social media.

He thanked Japan for the warm reception. He said the state ceremony showed respect for a transformed Albania in the eyes of the world.

The visit focused on strengthening Albania-Japan relations and expanding cooperation in the economy, culture, and diplomacy.

Takaichi welcomed Rama with an Honor Guard. The two leaders held a bilateral meeting and discussed stronger strategic cooperation between their countries.

During the visit, Rama also attended institutional and economic events.

In addition, he visited the United Nations University in Tokyo.

There, he addressed a discussion panel titled “Albania’s Path toward EU Membership: The Role of Japan.”

Rama spoke about Albania’s European integration process and the role of young people in sustainable development.
