U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio paid tribute to the legacy of Mother Teresa during a visit to the Missionaries of Charity.
The U.S. Embassy in Tirana shared Rubio’s statement on social media. Rubio said Mother Teresa left an extraordinary legacy of compassion and service.
He said he was honored to visit the Missionaries of Charity. He also said he paid tribute to her legacy and witnessed a living example of Catholic faith in action.
The Missionaries of Charity is the religious order founded by Mother Teresa. Mother Teresa remains one of the most well-known Albanian figures in the world.
She is widely recognized as a symbol of dedication, humanitarian service and solidarity with those in need.
