Shëngjin officially opened the summer tourism season last night with a series of activities. The event gathered residents of Lezhë and tourists from different countries.
The opening ceremony, “Shëngjin 2026”, was attended by Minister of Defence Ermal Nufi, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Andis Salla, and Lezhë Mayor Pjerin Ndreu.
Nufi said Shëngjin is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Albania. He said the city continues to strengthen its position as a key reference point for local and foreign visitors.
He also said tourism services have improved significantly. He highlighted the quality of hotels, restaurants and accommodation structures.
He said the area is ready for a stronger tourism season than last year. He added that Shëngjin will stand out throughout the summer. He expressed confidence that the season will bring success for both visitors and businesses.
He also praised cooperation between local and central institutions in preparing the season. He said Lezhë and Shëngjin will meet high standards again this year.
