Meanwhile, tourism experts cited by The Independent point to strong value for money as a key factor behind Albania’s popularity. Social media has also helped raise the country’s profile, particularly through images and videos from the Albanian Riviera.
The report identifies May, June and September as some of the best periods to visit. During these months, travellers benefit from warm weather, fewer crowds and lower prices.
Beyond the coast, The Independent recommends destinations such as Tirana and Berat, while describing Albania as a safe, affordable and increasingly attractive destination for international visitors.
