Traffic restrictions announced in Tirana ahead of Kanye West concert

TIRANA July 10 – Tirana Police has announced temporary traffic restrictions on several roads ahead of the “YE” music event featuring artist Kanye West, scheduled for July 11 in Kashar.

The restrictions will start at 07:00 and remain in force until midnight on the secondary section of the Durrës–Tirana highway, from the “Eiffel” area to “Casa Italia”. The segment will operate only in the exit direction.

Police will also close the highway exit lane at the “Casa Italia” roundabout during the same time period.

Meanwhile, from 12:00 to 24:00, authorities will restrict traffic on the “Casa Italia” – “Pavarësia” Street – “Sokrat Miho” Street section. The “Sokrat Miho” Street – “Kasem Shima” Street – “7 Nëntori” Street segment will also face restrictions and will operate only in the exit direction.

Police said that partial traffic interruptions may occur from the Institute Bridge to “Casa Italia”, depending on the number of participants arriving at the event. The measure aims to manage traffic flow and ensure the smooth development of the concert.

Only emergency vehicles and State Police vehicles will have access to restricted areas during these periods.

Tirana Police has asked citizens for understanding and urged drivers to plan their routes in advance, use alternative roads and follow the instructions of police officers on duty.
