Travel and Tour World highlights Albania’s tourism and construction investment potential

Travel and Tour World reports that Albania has attracted around €1.14 billion in foreign investment, highlighting opportunities in tourism, real estate, construction and hospitality.

Tirana is emerging as a key centre for hotel and property development. Along the coast, Durrës, Vlora, Saranda and Ksamil offer opportunities in accommodation, restaurants and tourism services. Shkodër, Berat and Gjirokastër also hold potential for urban hotels and heritage accommodation.

Recent visitor figures point to rising demand. In August 2026, the number of visitors staying in registered accommodation increased by 10.3% year on year. Non-resident visitors rose by 10.7%, supporting prospects for further investment in hotels, guesthouses and tourism experiences.

The publication also highlights opportunities in residential property, commercial spaces and transport infrastructure. However, foreign investment spans several sectors and does not focus on tourism alone.

Long-term growth will depend on service quality, better infrastructure and environmental protection. Extending the tourist season will also be important for sustaining demand and strengthening Albania’s position as an investment destination in the Western Balkans.
