Two debut call-ups and returns as Maran names Albania squad

TIRANA, May 28 – Albania will play two friendly matches against Israel on 3 June at 20:00 at the “Air Albania” stadium and against Luxembourg on 6 June at 20:00 at the same venue.

Head coach Rolando Maran has announced his first squad since taking charge of the national team. He has called up 27 players for the June friendlies.

The list includes two debut call-ups. Pano Qirko of Partizani and Luis Hasa of Carrarese receive their first national team call-ups.

At the same time, Alen Sherri, Simon Simoni, Andi Hadroj, Taulant Seferi and Cristian Shpendi return to the squad.

Several players miss out due to injury, including Thomas Strakosha, Ernest Muçi, Nazmi Gripshi and Rey Manaj.

The national team will begin training camp on 1 June at the “House of Football”. Tickets for both friendlies are available online at ebileta.al and at the physical ticket office near the “Air Albania” stadium.
