More than 200 Albanian law enforcement professionals earned certifications in 2026 after completing crime investigation training. The US Embassy in Tirana congratulated State Police crime specialists who completed the Level 1 Crime Investigation Course at the Security Academy.
The US Department of Justice’s International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) designed the course to strengthen investigative skills, promote common standards and improve accountability in police work. The training focuses on core investigative methods, including asking the right questions, examining evidence and following the facts.
The US Embassy said the training and certifications also strengthen joint efforts against transnational crime and corruption. At the same time, they help protect communities in both Albania and the United States.
