1,500 Police Officers Deployed for Protests, Water Cannon Trucks Stationed Near Prime Minister’s Office

1,500 police officers have been deployed to ensure security during the protest announced by the Democratic Party (DP), which is expected to begin at 12:00 p.m.

Several water cannon trucks have also been stationed around the Prime Minister’s Office and are expected to be used against protesters if acts of violence occur.

Prime Minister Edi Rama is reportedly in his office at the government headquarters, while his fifth invitation for dialogue has once again been rejected. Several protesters removed cushions placed outside the government building, along with signs bearing the word “dialogue.”

Meanwhile, a student protest is expected to begin at around 2:00 p.m. outside the Ministry of Education, with university lecturers also expected to join.
