TIRANA, May 21 – Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ferit Hoxha, together with the European Union delegation in the country, held discussions with ambassadors of EU member states.
In a social media post, Hoxha said the meeting focused on the ongoing reform process. It also covered the full range of issues shaping current Albania–EU relations. In particular, it addressed the ongoing negotiation process and the next steps.
In addition, Hoxha said the parties agreed on the importance of strengthening communication and public outreach on the EU accession process in both Albania and EU member states. The aim is to further increase public understanding and support.
He added that EU enlargement has always been equally important for candidate countries and for the European Union itself. He said it strengthens stability, security, prosperity, and shared democratic resilience across the continent. It also reinforces the strategic role and credibility of the Union.
At the same time, Hoxha thanked the ambassadors for their continued support for Albania’s European path. He assured them of the country’s firm commitment to pursue and deepen the required reforms on its path toward EU membership.
He also said that “together, we remain committed to advancing tangible progress for our citizens and strengthening our shared European future.”
