Albania and Montenegro Sign Postal Cooperation Agreement

Posta Shqiptare and Montenegro’s postal service signed a cooperation memorandum today to modernize postal and financial services between the two countries.

Administrator Etjen Xhafaj and his Montenegrin counterpart Josip Djuraskoviç signed the agreement. Xhafaj described the deal as an important step toward modernization and stronger regional cooperation.

He said the partnership focuses on digitalization, innovation and the integration of new technologies.The agreement also supports e-commerce development and easier ground transport for postal deliveries.

The two sides aim to improve postal, financial and banking services while facilitating regional trade. The memorandum also includes faster money transfers, operational exchange of experience and stronger protection of personal data.

Xhafaj said Albania remains committed to innovation and safer, more modern services for citizens.
