Albania Promoted at Cannes Film Market “Marché du Film”

Albania participated in the “Marché du Film”, one of the most important global events for the film industry. The event took place in Cannes and brought together more than 14,000 professionals from over 140 countries.

The Albanian National Cinematography Center joined forces with the Kosovo Cinematography Center to present a joint stand. The market is the business platform of the Cannes Film Festival and the largest international film marketplace in the world.

It connects sales agents, distributors and producers working on finished films and projects in development. Over 1,500 screenings were held during the event.

The Albanian Film Center held meetings with international film institutions and industry professionals. Officials presented Albania’s new film and audiovisual law, which received strong interest.

The participation aimed to position Albania as a growing destination for international film production. It also aimed to strengthen co-productions and global partnerships in the film industry.
