KO Film Fest Brings 100 Short Films from 40 Countries to Korçë

Korçë has become a meeting point for international cinema as the 13th edition of KO Film Fest opens, bringing 100 short films from 40 countries to the southeastern Albanian city over six days.

The festival will screen films at Majestik Cinema and the Digital Arts Gallery (GAD), bringing together diverse cultures, perspectives and stories through the power of cinema.

The festival opens on Oct. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at Majestik Cinema with DUA, directed by Blerta Basholli.

This year’s theme, “WHAT WE IGNORE, REMAINS,” highlights stories that challenge audiences to reflect on issues often overlooked or left unspoken.

The programme also features a special section for children, with screenings scheduled for Oct. 28, 29 and 30.

Through its international lineup, KO Film Fest aims to turn Korçë into a vibrant cinematic hub, connecting audiences with new voices, experiences and perspectives from around the world.
