TIRANA, May 29 – Economy and Innovation Minister Delina Ibrahimaj presented Albanian Digital Solutions on Friday as a new public structure for digital innovation and public services. Prime Minister Edi Rama also attended the event.
Meanwhile, Ibrahimaj said Albania has built one of the region’s most advanced electronic governance systems. She said the e-Albania platform currently offers 1,278 services and serves 3.4 million users.
In addition, the minister said citizens and businesses have received 58 million electronic services and generated 48 million digital documents over the years. During 2025 alone, users received 17 million online services, she added.
Ibrahimaj also said the state digital infrastructure includes 72 interconnected systems and 70 integrated databases. GovNet currently links 140 central institutions and hundreds of local institutions, according to the minister.
At the same time, she said digitalisation and interoperability have saved around 600 billion ALL for citizens and businesses. The process reduced waiting times, financial costs and administrative procedures, Ibrahimaj added.
Earlier, the minister said automation and reduced physical contact with public administration have increased transparency and reduced corruption risks.
She also said Albanian Digital Solutions marks a new phase for Albania’s digital state. According to Ibrahimaj, the structure will develop and maintain digital platforms while supporting exports of Albanian technological solutions to international markets.
Finally, she said Albania aims to become a regional centre for innovation, GovTech development and technology exports.
