Foreign Tourists Enchanted by Himara, with the Sea and Nature Remaining the Main Attractions

Himara continues to be a favorite destination among foreign tourists. Visitors mainly come from Greece, the United Kingdom, and Denmark, as well as from many other countries around the world as part of their tours across Albania. During their stay in Himara, tourists say they have been captivated by the town, describing the small coastal destination as extremely appealing. The sea and the beautiful natural surroundings are among their favorite features.

“I come from England. I lived for a long time in an area near Winchester. I’m in Himara for a long weekend because we recently had a holiday break. This is my first time in Himara, while my partner is here for the 10th or 12th time. I live in Albania and have been based in Tirana for about five years because of my job. We really like Tirana—it is a large city that continues to grow and develop, but it is also very busy. When we first arrived, it was much quieter. As the city expands and its infrastructure develops, we prefer to travel around and explore other places,” said one tourist.

“I come from London and this is my first time in Himara. I chose Himara because of the sea, the pleasant climate, and the stunning scenery. We decided to visit Albania after seeing information online. I really like this country. Previously, we visited Tirana, and now we are in Himara. I’m here with my boyfriend, Kevin. I will certainly recommend Albania and Himara to my friends, and I am sure I will return again,” said another visitor.

Himara is gradually transforming from the reality of years past, when the coastal town was visited mainly by tourists from Greece.

As a destination that is still not fully discovered, Himara now attracts hundreds of tourists every month from various parts of the world, even during the spring season. During the summer months, visitor numbers increase significantly year after year, reinforcing its reputation as one of Albania’s most attractive seaside destinations.
