Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha met in Dublin with Ireland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Helen McEntee.
He said both sides reaffirmed excellent bilateral relations between Albania and Ireland.
Furthermore, Hoxha said the two countries held constructive discussions on strengthening political dialogue. They also agreed to expand practical cooperation across key sectors.
In addition, both sides focused on boosting economic partnership. They explored opportunities in trade, investment, tourism, digital services, and innovation.
Hoxha also highlighted the important role of the Albanian diaspora in Ireland. He said the diaspora continues to serve as a bridge between the two societies and economies.
Moreover, he announced that Albania will open an embassy in Dublin in the near future. He said this step will deepen bilateral relations and strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
He also thanked Ireland for its strong support for EU enlargement and Albania’s European integration path.
In addition, Hoxha updated the Irish side on Albania’s steady progress in the EU accession process. He stressed Albania’s commitment to maintaining reform momentum and advancing negotiations.
Furthermore, both sides discussed regional and global developments. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to European stability, security, and prosperity, including the Western Balkans as an integral part of Europe’s future.
