TIRANA, August 14 – The George Kastrioti Skanderbeg Museum in Kruja remains a popular cultural tourism destination, welcoming large numbers of local and foreign visitors during the summer season. Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images of the museum, which stands inside the historic Kruja Castle.
The Kruja Museum Centre also includes the National Ethnographic Museum and ranks among Albania’s important cultural heritage complexes. Visitor interest increased significantly during the first 6 months of the year, reaching 86,000 people. The Ethnographic Museum alone welcomed 13,000 visitors.
Meanwhile, the centre features several historically and ethnographically important sites that reflect Albanian history, traditional life and cultural heritage. Visitors can learn about Skanderbeg’s resistance through exhibitions and preserved artefacts. They can also explore traditional Albanian ways of life.
The Old Bazaar of Kruja remains also an integral part of the visitor experience. Local artisans offer traditional products and souvenirs, adding to the area’s cultural and tourism appeal.
