President of the Albanian National Olympic Committee (KOKSH) Fidel Ylli welcomed US Special Envoy for Global Partnerships Paolo Zampolli during a special visit focused on strengthening international cooperation through sport.
According to KOKSH, the visit created a new opportunity to strengthen communication and international partnerships in sport. Albania is also seeking to expand its role in international sports projects and initiatives.
During the meeting, Zampolli praised KOKSH’s work, development and achievements. He also highlighted Albania’s growing representation in international sport.
Moreover, Zampolli emphasized sport’s ability to build new relationships between countries. He expressed his readiness to explore new opportunities for cooperation and partnership with Albania. He described sport as an important tool for international communication.
Meanwhile, Ylli described the visit as a new opportunity to promote dialogue through sports diplomacy. He stressed that sport goes beyond competition and results. It can build relationships, bring people closer and promote Albania internationally.
Zampolli also showed particular interest in the “Tirana Olympic City” project. During his visit, he learned more about the initiative and its potential.
According to KOKSH, the project could help promote Albanian sport and create new spaces for young people. It could also strengthen Albania’s international image through sport.
The meeting highlighted the broader potential of sport. Beyond competition, sport can serve as a platform for diplomacy, international cooperation, investment, exchange of experience and the promotion of Albania worldwide.
