Sveçla: Kosovo remains a reliable Europol partner

Kosovo’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, met Europol Executive Director Jürgen Ebner on Thursday on the sidelines of the EU–Western Balkans Ministerial Forum on Justice in Budva, Montenegro.

Sveçla said Kosovo remains a reliable partner for Europol, with consistent results under their cooperation agreements. He also highlighted the success of joint operations targeting international criminal networks that threaten security across the region and beyond.

The latest operation, “Trado 3”, conducted on November 3 under Europol’s leadership and in coordination with seven European countries, including Kosovo, demonstrates the country’s commitment to tackling criminal activities, Sveçla said in a Facebook post.

He added that Kosovo would further strengthen its cooperation with Europol to achieve new joint results in combating international organised crime and enhancing security.
