At the start of his presentation outlining his fourth term in government, Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that all of Kosovo is awaiting the decision of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers concerning the former KLA leaders.
“I congratulate you on the constitution of the 11th legislature of the Assembly. These days, we are all anxious ahead of the verdict in the trial of KLA leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi.
We are clear about what happened. War crimes and crimes against humanity were committed in Kosovo, and genocide was committed against the Albanian civilian population. No court can tarnish the KLA’s war,” Kurti said.
He did not take part in the March for Freedom a day earlier, although several Vetëvendosje MPs attended.
