Albanian Journalists Union honors figures of the media

The Albanian Journalists Union organized this morning an awards ceremony for journalists as part of a joint event with VerbumlandiArtAps. The event was attended by a delegation from Italy, as well as representatives from across the Albanian-speaking region, turning the gathering into an important cultural and media occasion.

In his welcoming speech, the head of the Union, Aleksandër Çipa, emphasized the pleasure of hosting representatives of the Italian organization at this joint meeting.

The Italian delegation was led by Regina Resta. During the event, an awards ceremony was held honoring well-known figures in journalism, literature, and literary criticism. Among those recognized were poet and journalist Xhevahir Spahiu, scholar and literary critic Behar Gjoka, writer Flutura Açka, as well as Namik Dokle.

Awards were also given to Engjëll Serjani, Professor Viola Isufaj, Erion Kristo, Vrion Gaci, Mujë Buçpapaj, and journalist Artur Nura for their outstanding contributions in their respective fields.

A special moment of the event was the presentation of the poetry volume “I Remain a Word” by author Regina Resta, brought into the Albanian language by Angela Kosta, with a foreword by Aleksandër Çipa.

The event concluded with messages of cooperation and commitment to future joint projects, turning this meeting into a bridge of communication between cultures and professionals of media and the arts.
