Cruise tourism in Saranda continues into autumn, with the arrival of the Seabourn Quest carrying 446 passengers from around the world. The cruise ship arrived from Brindisi, Italy, and will leave for Zakynthos, Greece, after scheduled visits in Saranda.
The Saranda Port said this was the 27th cruise ship to visit the southern Albanian port this season. The passengers include visitors from Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Costa Rica, Germany, Peru, Zimbabwe, Serbia and South Africa. Their programme includes visits to Saranda, Butrint National Park and the Blue Eye.
Meanwhile, the latest arrival brings the total number of tourist vessels visiting Saranda Port this season to 62. Of these, 27 are cruise ships. The port remains one of Albania’s main entry points for foreign visitors during the tourism season.
The arrival in early October shows that interest in Saranda continues beyond the peak summer months. The southern coastal city has become a major cruise tourism destination, supported by its location, proximity to Corfu and rich natural and cultural attractions.
