Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ferit Hoxha and Minister of State for Public Administration and Anti-Corruption Adea Pirdeni met students in Durrës. They visited “Naim Frashëri” High School and “Aleksandër Moisiu” University. The meeting is part of the national tour, “EU and You: Europe Starts Here.”
The event aims to strengthen dialogue between institutions and youth. It also promotes Albania’s European future.
Students showed strong interest in reforms. They asked about expectations, EU benefits, and how they can improve the country’s image.
Ministers Hoxha and Pirdeni answered their questions. They emphasized the youth’s key role in reforms. They stressed that young people shape a modern, democratic, and European Albania.
Hoxha highlighted energy, vision, and commitment of the new generation. He called it a guarantee for an irreversible European future.
He said, “We were happy to answer their thoughtful questions about reforms, expectations, benefits, and Albania’s image. They showed maturity, clarity, and ambition.”
Hoxha added that dialogue with youth is part of the government’s strategy. It raises awareness about the EU. It also engages them in decision-making and promotes democratic values.
He concluded, “This meeting confirmed that Albania’s path to the EU is inseparable from youth energy, vision, and commitment—a strong guarantee for an irreversible European future.”
The tour will continue in other cities. It brings youth closer to government and EU representatives. The aim is to discuss challenges, opportunities, and expectations on the road to EU membership.
