TIRANA, June 11 – Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Blendi Gonxhja and Korça Mayor Sotiraq Filo visited the Korça Archaeological Museum following the completion of restoration works. The building is now ready to welcome visitors.
The Korça Archaeological Museum operates in the historic residence of Fani Pjasto. The property ranks among the city’s notable cultural heritage sites.
Gonxhja said cooperation continues with the National Institute of Cultural Heritage, the Regional Directorate of Cultural Heritage in Korça and the Municipality of Korça. The partners are working on the museum development and revitalisation of the site.
According to the minister, the project forms part of a broader vision for an integrated cultural and museum network. Such a network aims to promote local history and identity. It also seeks to showcase the authentic experiences that the region offers.
