Protect Nature, EU interactive contest promotes Albania’s biodiversity

TIRANA May 25 – The Delegation of the European Union in Albania has launched the “Protect Nature” contest. The initiative promotes biodiversity and environmental protection through an interactive experience in several Albanian cities.

The campaign covers Tirana, Shkodër, Durrës, and Vlora. It uses green stickers placed in public areas. Each sticker introduces species of Albanian fauna. Participants scan QR codes. They access information on animals and natural habitats.

The contest encourages young people and citizens to create short videos. They publish them on Instagram. They use the hashtags #KonkursiMbroNatyrën, #natyrajonë, #përgjegjësiajonë, and #mbronatyrën. Organizers also require submissions to be sent to eu4greengen@gdsi.ie. Winners receive prizes.

The activity runs from 25 to 30 May. It promotes awareness of nature through technology and education. More information is available at mbronatyren.al.
