Prime Minister Edi Rama has brought back his “Flasim” podcast, focusing on education and Albania’s results in the international PISA 2025 assessment.
In the first episode of the new season, titled “News from School,” Rama spoke about the start of the new school year and the progress of the education system, describing the improvement in PISA results as an indication of the work carried out over the years.
“This is an episode that could not but be dedicated to education, at a time of year when the holidays are coming to an end, preparations for the new school year are also being completed, and a new academic year is beginning. At the same time, I cannot let this opportunity pass without highlighting my tremendous satisfaction with the results of the PISA 2025 test. These results are the product of years of work, a comprehensive transformation and an effort to improve not only the quality of infrastructure and textbooks, but also the quality of school administration. PISA results in the past were not like this.”
The Prime Minister said that Albania has made significant progress in the regional rankings, moving from the bottom to the top of the Western Balkans ranking in mathematics.
“Albania began this climb towards the top of the rankings in the Western Balkans. We were last. Today, we are first in mathematics.”
