Rama Welcomes Opposition Support for EU Integration Resolution

Prime Minister Edi Rama welcomed the opposition’s support for a parliamentary resolution on Albania’s European Union integration process.

Speaking on the “FLASIM” podcast, Rama described the joint vote in Parliament as a positive step for Albania’s European future. He said opposition parties unexpectedly joined the ruling majority in backing the resolution on EU membership.

Rama said political forces should unite whenever Albania’s strategic interests and European integration are involved. He added that cooperation on the EU project remains important for the country’s future.

The prime minister stressed that negotiations with the European Union continue without obstacles. He said Albania expects new progress soon in the negotiation process, including the opening and closing of chapters.

Rama also said the opposition’s support for the resolution sends a positive message for the country’s European path.
