The Transparency Board has set new retail and wholesale prices for diesel and petrol in Albania following a meeting held on Thursday, October 29.
According to the board’s decision, the maximum retail price of diesel will be 212 lek per litre, while the wholesale price must not exceed 200 lek per litre.
For petrol, the maximum retail price has been set at 181 lek per litre, while the wholesale price will be capped at 169 lek per litre.
The new prices take effect on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. and will remain in force until the next meeting of the Transparency Board, when market developments will be reviewed again.
The decision was made as part of the special measures introduced in the hydrocarbon market, aimed at temporarily limiting the prices of petroleum products and gas.
The board has reminded wholesale and retail fuel operators of their obligation to comply with the established prices, warning that violations could result in the suspension of their business operations.
The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy stated that they remain committed to protecting the interests of Albanian consumers and ensuring fair competition in the market.
