Albania is launching its first official internship program for young filmmakers and art students. Jonid Jorgji, head of the National Center of Cinematography (QKK), announced the news alongside Minister Blendi Gonxhja at the Muse-x event. This initiative requires every QKK-funded production to include young creators in their professional crews.
Students will gain direct experience on film sets and receive official university credits for their work. The program also extends to major international productions across Europe and the United States. Currently, officials are negotiating with global film companies to provide Albanian youth with world-class professional training.
In addition to education, Albania will build a new complex of modern film studios. This project aims to transform the country into a major filming hub for both local and international productions. These steps support the “Work in Progress” vision to turn Albanian cinema into a significant economic and cultural force.
