TIRANA, April 20 – An Albanian parliamentary delegation held meetings in the Italian Senate as part of a two-day visit focused on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation.
Members of the delegation met Italian senator Raffaele De Rosa to discuss economic ties, parliamentary cooperation, and Albania’s European Union accession process. Talks also covered regional developments and shared challenges in the Mediterranean and Western Balkans.
The delegation includes lawmakers from both ruling and opposition parties, reflecting a cross-party approach to external relations. Officials said the visit aims to deepen institutional dialogue and expand cooperation between the two parliaments.
Further meetings are scheduled in both chambers of the Italian parliament with senior lawmakers and committee representatives. Italy remains Albania’s key strategic partner and a strong supporter of its EU integration path.
