Jutta Benzenberg presents diaspora photo project in Tirana

Photographer Jutta Benzenberg presents a special project titled “Zemra mes këtej dhe andej” (“Heart Between Here and There”) at the Prime Minister’s Office Library in Tirana.

The project explores the Albanian diaspora through photography. In cooperation with GIZ Albania, Benzenberg displays 16 portraits accompanied by personal stories, journeys, and reflections on migration.

Each portrait tells a personal narrative that connects “here” and “there,” highlighting experiences of belonging and identity. Participants share their life stories and reflect on migration and life in Albania.

The photographs include personal objects that hold emotional value for the individuals portrayed. These objects symbolize their memories and connections to their journeys.

The exhibition opens to the public and remains available until April 24, 2026, at COD in Tirana.
