“Publik Galeri” exhibition turns confiscated space from crime symbol into art center

Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu and Interior Minister Besfort Lamallari attended the opening of the “Publik Galeri” exhibition. The initiative aims to transform confiscated spaces into art and community centers.

Authorities converted the space from a site linked to illegal profits and criminal activity into a public venue. It now symbolizes the use of seized assets for citizens.

Lamallari said the initiative reflects a new institutional approach. He said the fight against crime goes beyond punishment. It also returns illegally obtained assets to public use.

State Police employees also contributed to the exhibition. They presented artworks that reflect creativity, sensitivity, and civic engagement.

The minister praised the Agency for the Administration of Seized and Confiscated Assets. He said it sets new standards for asset management. He added that it helps increase public trust in state institutions.

The “Publik Galeri” project shows how authorities can transform crime-linked assets into spaces that generate culture, value, and community development.
