Edi Rama informs Donald Trump about “fantasy report” on KLA leaders

Edi Rama said he informed Donald Trump about what he called “fantasy report” accusations against former KLA leaders. He spoke during a conversation with Alexis Papahelas at the Delphi Economic Forum.

Rama said he raised concerns about the detention of Hashim Thaçi and other former KLA leaders in The Hague. However, he noted that he has not received a response from Trump.

Rama said he met Trump during the creation of the Peace Board. Then, he discussed international justice and the court handling the case. He argued the court relied on a “fantasy report” backed by Russian delegates linked to Vladimir Putin.

Moreover, Rama said authorities detained Thaçi while he was in office. He added that officials also detained the parliamentary speaker. He claimed the process later changed and did not confirm organ trafficking.

Finally, Rama said he asked Trump to be aware of the issue and possibly intervene. However, he said Trump has not yet provided any feedback.
