Over 1,000 Austrian tourists visit Kruja museum in April

The Skanderbeg Museum in Kruja has become an important stop for foreign tourists visiting Albania. The museum attracts large groups from countries such as Italy, Germany, France, Spain, and others.

Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that more than 1,000 Austrian tourists visited the museum in April alone.

The museum “Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu” displays many original objects, documents, and bibliographic materials. It presents a clear view of Albanian history from the 15th century onward.

The museum includes several sections, such as the Antiquity and Early Middle Ages pavilion, the Albanian Principalities pavilion, the Ottoman occupation and resistance pavilion, and the medieval castles pavilion. It also features Skanderbeg’s office, a library, the hall of princes, a pinacotheca, and a heritage pavilion.

Exhibits include ceramics, bronze, iron, and copper artifacts, as well as icons, writings, a bell from 1462, and original 15th-century swords.
